Never land family

Co-workers living the "80's" all over again

Young Women at the church
At the Grant halloween party with 2 girls that live on our street the smallest is tinkerbell too!

Chad & I love Halloween and the opportunity to dress up, so we were really excited that Violet got to celebrate her first Halloween this year. I went with her to the Grant Kids Halloween Party and I can't wait till she gets older, they had every Halloween decoration you can imagine with a hay ride and dance area and of course lots of goodies and snacks. On Halloween day I went to my work to show her off in her Tinkerbell costume (thanks Heather & Mattie for letting us borrow it!) and I made my Wendy costume and Chad's Peter Pan costume. Everyone at worked dressed like the "80's" I can't believe the stuff they found in the thrift stores, as well as in target and walmart. It's kinda scary that style seams to be creeping back into the fashion world. We then all got dressed and went trick or treating to grandma & grandpa's and Bob & Gloria (my parent's neighboors). We then dressed up our trunk at the trunk or treat at church and passed out lots of candy. We had a great time seeing everyone dressed up espcially all the cute kids. The last thing of the night was to trick or treat to Aunt Belkis house and Great Grandmother's Rita's house. It was so much fun and Violet loved it so much that she forgot to eat during the whole trunk or treat, so she was really hungry when we got to Great Grandmother Rita's house.

Pumpkin Patch

But in the end she liked the one we picked...

We had a fun filled afternoon picking out our first pumpkin together as a family. You can see that Violet didn't care for the all of the orange pumpkin's around her but it was sure fun :).

Happy 29th Anniversary Mom & Dad

We celebrated my parent's anniversary with a delicious dinner and cake. I am very thankful for the good examples my parents are to me. Congratulations to another wonderful year! I hope that you have many more happy and healthy ones to come :)!

A new trick...

me and daddy after church

We were sitting at the dinner table and Violet reaches over to my mom's cup and brings it to her mouth right on the lip. She starts to push her tongue out and tried to get a drink. She is too smart she figured out that people drink from cups. I don't think she is going to like the sippy cup at all! At first I suspected that daddy had showed her how to do that, but he said that he didn't so she picked it up on her own!

Souper-Saturday

The Relief Society had it's annual Christmas crafts, and I was able to make some really cute things! (Heather thanks for all the work to prepare the Day's til Christmas project). I also learned how to make chicken enchiladas and how to do freezer meals, like the "my delicious dinner's" company does. We had soup, bread, salad and dessert for lunch. The Candy Corn craft was an idea from Martha Stewart given to me by Heather ( who she says her sister Stephanie told her about it), and it turned out so cute! I gave my visiting teaching ladies one for Halloween. The YW also made them for Trick or Treat night on wednesday where we are going to take treat's to the single elderly people of the ward.

Daddy's Girl

Chad sure loves his baby girl, and Violet is crazy about her Daddy! If she is fussy in the afternoon the moment Daddy walk's through the door everything is OK. Chad is teaching her how to play the drums and of course they like to take cat naps together!

Protection from drowning...

Stump is on Violet's knee in a bag..

In Cuba when a baby's umbilical cord stump falls off you are suppose to throw it in a body of water to protect the baby from drowning. So finally today Chad , Violet and I walked down to the Indian River and threw the stump in. My dad threw both my brother and I's stump in the same river. This is from a public dock off of US 1. It's really pretty but the only scary part is crossing the busy US 1 road.

I'm 4 month's old today...

Today I am 4 month's old and my doctor thinks I am doing great! As of today I weigh 11lbs 1oz, and I am 23 1/4 inches long. The doctor say's that if I keep getting longer that I am going to be a really tall girl. I am rolling like crazy and I want to crawl so badly. I lift my butt in the air and try to use my feet and I get really mad because I can't move forward! I am really good at grabbing my toys and putting them in my mouth! I also love to talk quite a bit, some of it is loud squeals. I smile and laugh a lot and I love my bath time! I am drooling a lot and I tend to get upset..mommy thinks my teeth are coming in soon. I am just so excited about growing up and learning about all the beautiful things this world has to offer!
