Roberto & Nikki Visit

Chad's CIMAR (engineering lab from UF) buddy Roberto who will soon be a new papa as well, and his wife Nikki came to visit us for the day. We had lots of fun conversation as you can expect about babies, what products are the best?, how to handle immunizations?, epidural or not? etc. It's so fun to have such good friends becoming parents almost at the same time, Nikki is due September 10th and she is having a girl! We look forward to many play dates in the future, and as you can see Roberto and Chad look like proud papa's! This visit was defiantly the highlight of our weekend and we had such a good time, to bad we don't live closer to each other!

Chad's Garden

Chad's garden has produced some yummy tomatoes and a few peppers!! We have several more on the plant that we hope we can enjoy in the near future!

Today, was a wonderful day dedicated to mother's. We went to Tia Lili's and Tio Rico's house for lunch. The food was so good and we had a great time taking pictures and spending time together. Abuela Rita had a great time having all of her family together. It was sure fun and the baby was excited as well moving around and wanting to be part of the action. We want to thank all the mother's both in our family and our friends for all that you do for your families. I hope that I can measure up as a mother as you all are examples to me. We hope that you all had a wonderful day!

"Pool Party" Surprise Work Baby Shower!

Chad & I attended a party at my co-workers house Ilia-it was suppose to be a "Pool Party" but in fact it was a surprise baby shower for me! Everything was beautiful the decorations, cake, food (which Ilia and Mike bought sushi from a local restaurant and they brought it in a wooden boat). But the best part was hanging out with my friends from work, we had a great time one of the games we had to trial baby food and guess what it is, and the other game we had team mates and we had to make the best diaper out of toilet paper! I received so many beautiful gifts and lots of very useful things.
It was a really fun evening!!

My mom had a baby shower in my home and invited my family and friends. We had such a good time. My friend Elke from college came down from Jacksonville for the shower. We had a cupcake cake (as inspired by my sister in law Rachel T.) that my mom made and it was super yummy! It was great to spend time and see my mother's friends/co-workers and my aunt's and grandmother. My neighbor and my other best friend Erika were there also. I received many beautiful gifts and even a Florida Gators Diaper Bag!! Go Gators! It was a great time and it was nice being around so many great people! Our daughter is going to look so cute!!

Jogger Stroller for Rocky FL streets

Today, I bought this jogger stroller for $40.00 off of the Harris Classified Ads!! Chad wants to jog with the baby when he gets home and I think it will be good to walk around the neighborhood, considering there is a lot of gravel and unpaved roads. I think this will do the trick.
