I was very nervous but excited knowing that today I will 1. find out if the baby is healthy and 2. what the baby is boy or girl, now I knew that sometimes babies don't want to open their legs for the camera. So Chad & I are in the room and I started getting nervous because the women kept asking me how far along am I and when was I due etc. I thought "oh, no is something wrong." Later I find out that Chad was scared the whole time and that his heart was beating and he was sweating. Anyway, we get to the fun part where she tries to see what the baby is and the baby is straddling my placenta like a cowboy/cowgirl. Therefore she really can't tell, then she tells me to empty my bladder and she starts pushing on my tummy. After a bit you see the baby slide off and as soon as she tries to see you see the arm and hand reach down and cover its protected area!! The ladies were laughing so hard, they said they never saw a baby do this! Needless to say I had to go back to work with a brown shirt on indicating that I didn't know what the sex of the baby was. They wanted me to show up in either a blue or pink shirt. But anyway, Chad & I feel very blessed that for now the baby is healthy. So I think its funny how I love surprises and here my baby wants to surprise me!
